Job Description
- Project Management: Lead and oversee the successful delivery of multiple projects across all phases of development. This includes project planning, resource allocation, timeline management, and risk assessment. Ensure projects are executed according to established methodologies and best practices.
- Team Leadership: Build and manage a high-performing team of IT professionals, including project managers, developers, system administrators, and support team. Provide guidance, coaching, and support to team members, foster a collaborative work environment, and ensure effective communication and coordination.
- Stakeholder Management: Engage with key stakeholders, such as business leaders, department heads, and clients, to understand their requirements, expectations, and priorities. Act as a liaison between business units and IT teams, ensuring effective communication and alignment of goals.
- Resource Management: Optimize resource allocation and utilization across IT projects. Coordinate with other teams and departments to secure the necessary expertise and support. Monitor resource capacity and workload, and make adjustments as needed to ensure project success.
- Quality Assurance: Establish quality control processes to ensure that IT projects meet defined standards and deliver the expected outcomes. Conduct regular reviews and audits to identify potential issues, risks, and areas for improvement. Implement corrective actions as needed.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with IT projects. Develop risk management strategies, monitor risks throughout the project lifecycle, and implement appropriate risk mitigation measures. Ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements.
- Change Management: Develop and execute change management strategies to facilitate the adoption of IT solutions and technologies within the organization. Identify and address resistance to change, promote user training and enablement, and ensure smooth transition and integration of IT systems into daily operations.
- Vendor Management: Collaborate with vendors and third-party service providers to ensure the successful delivery of outsourced IT projects and services. Evaluate vendor performance, negotiate contracts and service level agreements, and resolve any issues or disputes.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest IT technologies, trends, and best practices. Identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, and innovation within the IT landscape. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system performance, efficiency, and user experience.
Primary Skills
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field – Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration.
- Proven experience in IT project management, with a track record of successfully delivering complex IT projects on time and within budget.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse group of professionals.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Solid understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and tools.
- Knowledge of IT systems, infrastructure, and software development lifecycle.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
- Familiarity with IT service management frameworks (e.g., ITIL) and best practices.
Secondary Skills
- Experience in SAP project management, Knowledgeof SAP modules and functionality, such as SAP ERP, SAP S/4HANA, SAP CRM, SAP SCM and Knowledge of industry-specific SAP solutions (e.g., SAP for Retail, SAP for Manufacturing) are desirable based on the organization’s domain.
Certifications Required (If Any)
- Certifications in project management (e.g., Project Management Professional) and IT service management (e.g., ITIL Foundation) are desirable.
