It is important for the HR workforce to have a system available to shortlist the candidates based on the skill set required for the job role. If not, HR executives will have to manually perform a list of tasks to shortlist the candidates for a specific job role, which is tedious and time-consuming.
To address this, we developed the Resume Screening Automation, a web application. The advantage of using this application is that the HR Executive can identify the most suitable candidate for a particular job role quickly compared to the existing manual searches. Once the HR executive receives new mails in the career mailbox, the data can be extracted from the e-mail body and attachment, using the application. They can also extract information from existing files stored in local file system. The system analyses the skill set of a candidate instead of a specific job role for which the candidate applied. With that the same candidate will be available for any other related job roles with the skill set they have. This will help the Human Resource department in providing a swift response, which will eventually improve the efficiency of the Human Resource department.
