In today’s world, customers’ interaction with their banks are limited to mostly one-way interactions on their handheld digital devices. To differentiate their services, the need of the hour for banks is to engage their customers in intelligent, interactive, two-way conversation that can match what a human banker can do in a bank.
We developed a chatbot or an interactive assistant to interact with customers, using RASA open source library. It can open a savings account, register a complaint, check account balance and has the option to change language. The Chatbot working in the backend will be capable of understanding user intents and perform tasks. With help of WhatsApp Business API, we replaced Twilio which makes it more cost effective; WhatsApp charges .0042 $ /message whereas Twilio charge .0085 $ /message.
