Job Description
- Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and data modeling principles.
- Proficiency in Python, SQL for data extraction, transformation, and manipulation.
- In-depth knowledge of Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service functionalities
Responsibilities include:
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and translate them into clear and actionable Power BI reports and dashboards.
- Design and develop interactive and user-friendly reports and dashboards using Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service.
- Develop and maintain data models that optimize data access and performance for Power BI reports.
- Extract, transform, and clean data from various sources to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
Certifications :
- Bachelors in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field is preferred, or equivalent demonstrable experience.
- Desirable to have certifications in Data Analysis/ SQL/ PowerBI/ Tableau.
Primary Skills :
- 3+ years of experience as a BI Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar role.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and data modeling principles.
- Proficiency in Python, SQL for data extraction, transformation, and manipulation.
- In-depth knowledge of Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service functionalities.
- Experience building and optimizing data models for Power BI reports.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to effectively interact with business stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach.
Secondary Skills :
- Experience with other BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker) is a plus.
- Knowledge of database management systems (DBMS) and proficiency in database design, optimization, and performance tuning.
- Familiarity with ETL tools such as Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), Azure Data Factory, or similar platforms for data extraction, transformation, and loading.
- Experience working with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure/ Amazon Web Services (AWS)/ GCP for hosting, managing, and analyzing data.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
